It’s been over 2 months since my ovarian cyst removal surgery and I am feeling great! I am able to exercise fully and I am diving right into getting strong again. My body is adjusting to my usual daily steps goal, stretching routine, and weight-lifting.

I know it is normal to feel some aches and pains just as I am getting back into shape, but sometimes the aches and pains are very uncomfortable and I am in need of a quick and preferably non-pharmaceutical solution to relieve pain.

Using an acupressure mat is my favorite way to activate all the feel-good hormones in my body. The plastic spikes apply pressure to specific points on your body and this helps to relieve muscle tension and activate the natural healing abilities within your body.

Acupressure mats can take some time to get used to. However, don’t let this stop you from trying it out. Trust me, using an acupressure mat has changed my life! Hence, don’t be intimidated by the spikes your body will get used to the sensations.

Though the spikes are sharp and can produce both discomfort or pain, they do fade away when your body becomes accustomed to the feeling and when the endorphins kick in, so no worries!

My advice is to start with a minute each day. Then, work up to 2 to 3 minutes or longer. You will definitely feel a difference. When you are ready, work your way up to 15 to 20 minutes of bliss.

The tightness and soreness of my muscles melt away when I lie on my acupressure mat and pillow. I have really come to love the feeling of the spikes stimulating my pressure pointsit is helping my body heal naturally. The endorphins assist in relieving the pain and it works great as a natural analgesic.

There are so many benefits to using an acupressure mat and here are a few that I wanted to share with you: it helps with myofascial release, enhances mediation, promotes relaxation, aids in natural sleep, and promotes sensory stimulation.

Ajna Wellbeing Eco-Lite Acupressure Mat and Pillow Set (love the Ocean Blue color) is the best acupressure mat on the market! It’s ethically made with sustainable materials and packaging, non-toxic and it has plant-based filling. The natural organic linen cotton fabric and tote bag is so beautiful to use.

My health and wellness have been transformed by using an acupressure mat and pillow. Yes, the spikes can be intense and tingly in the beginning, but as you acclimatize to the sensations, your body will love soaking in all the feel-good hormones from this beautiful therapeutic wellness tool.
